‘17 Day Migrane’ is the blistering new single from Hot Face. The South London trio blends a 60s garage rock style with the furious, modern punk-psych of Osees. They blast their way through crunchy chords and playfully heavy instrumental breaks, without losing the clarity of their melodic vocal lines. They explain: “Inspired by a story recited on a rainy night in Soho, 17 Day Migraine is a manifestation of anarchic scenes and surreal nihilism, sonically channelling the likes of The 13th Floor Elevators, Wire and CTMF.” The band, who formed during a jam in a Croydon basement pub, are playing around the UK this Autumn. -Dan Peeke
